Ultra-wideband is a formerly classified high wavelength communications frequency approved by the FCC in 2002 for the development of new imaging systems to see inside the human body.

ZigBee®

ZigBee® is a high level wireless communications protocol that has been endorsed by the Continua Health Alliance as Continua’s new low power LAN standard. ZigBee can support thousands of devices on a single network and offers secure, robust, battery-efficient wireless connectivity for patient activity and facilities monitoring in institutional settings, homes, recreational settings and across large campuses. ZigBee is particularly suited for patient safety because it peacefully coexists with other wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, a critical requirement for use in health care facilities.

Clinical System Organizer

CSO is a scalable, web-based end-to-end shared home healthcare solution for chronic disease management. On a real-time basis, CSO gathers, processes and transmits raw data and clinical information regarding a patient’s condition and treatment process from point-of-care technologies located in the patient’s home. The information is analyzed using a knowledge-based system that supports decision-making utilizing a highly structured sequence of operations. An alert is raised when a data set falls outside allowable parameters. The system features a report generator where a caregiver can build queries to obtain any information managed by system such as vital reading, alerts, demographic data, etc. CSO has a number of modules specially designed to deal with some of the most important chronic diseases affecting people today, including diabetes and retinopathy, anticoagulation, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Monitoring Center

Sensiotec has a 24/7 monitoring center staffed by EMT-certified personnel. The highly trained response team has years of experience working with people in need. Sensiotec customers access the 24-hour-a-day system by simply pressing a button or calling from anywhere in the world. The CSO also automatically notifies the monitoring center when an alert is raised indicating a problem.
