The VMA can be used for Acute Care or Chronic Care, whether the setting is a hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility, hospice or even home.

In Acute Care, The VMA is suitable for single patients, individual wards or entire hospital systems, enabling nurses to "watch" patients virtually from remote locations.

In Chronic Care, The VMA is a Disease Management Tool, helping to optimize scarce human resources and coordinate clinically necessary interventions to reduce complications associated with common chronic illnesses.

The Virtual Medical Assistant also provides an End-to-End Connectivity Solution using its web-based Clinical System Organizer, a communications hub and other medical devices. This solution monitors CHF, COPD, diabetes and retinopathy, hypertension and anticoagulation in addition to vital signs, bed occupancy, bed movement and location. This makes it an optimal tool for home healthcare agencies, private duty nurses and telemedicine generally; and through its 24/7 EMT-staffed monitoring center, a needed service for children with elderly parents.
